This is the third revision of Canon's well-known ultra-wide zoom lens. It has 16 elements, one of which is dual surface aspherical, while the other is ground aspherical. The lens has a fluorine coating and is dust and water resistant. The minimum focus distance is 0.28m.
This is a fast, high-performance, ultra-wideangle zoom for Nikon's FX (full-frame) and DX (APS-C) format DSLRs. This distinctively bulbous lens gives extremely sharp results throughout its aperture range, making it very useful for available-light photography in tight spaces, as well as more conventional applications like landscapes and large events. Comprising 14 elements in 11 groups, the 14-24mm features an SWM focus motor for fast and silent AF with full-time manual override. You can put this lens on a DX-format DSLR if you want to (it will provide an equivalent 21-36mm zoom) but it is really designed for use on full-frame cameras like the D600, D800 and D4.
The Sigma 85mm F1.4 Art hasn't been on the market long, but it has already begun to make some serious waves. Lenstip and DxO have rated it the sharpest 85mm lens ever created, beating out even the legendary 85mm F1.4 Zeiss Otus, which isn't something that we take lightly. We were lucky enough to get our hands on the lens back in mid-November and we were very impressed to say the least, so much so that it took top honors for the 'Best Prime Lens of 2016' as chosen by our staff.
This is a well-known prime lens for 35 mm SLR film cameras. This Pentax close-up portrait lens is a fast fixed-focus, telefocus lens. You can capture intimate close-ups of photographic subjects with this telephoto lens. The aesthetic and technical qualities of the Pentax Takumar lens, such as sharpness, color rendering, and out-of-focus bokeh are highly rated. The filter diameter of this super-multicoated Pentax close-up portrait lens is 58 mm, while its minimum focusing distance is 85 cm. A small switch on this telephoto lens lets you change from the auto to the manual mode. The Pentax Takumar lens is compatible with screw mount 35 mm film cameras, although the same lens also comes with a K-bayonet mount.
This 24-70/2.8 is Nikon's best midrange zoom ever, but that's expected since it's also Nikon's newest and most expensive ever.See my Nikon Professional Normal Zoom Comparison for exhaustive side-by-side image examples. My tests show this 24-70mm f/2.8 is the sharpest normal zoom ever made by Nikon, but we expect that since it's the newest and most expensive. I'm surprised that the new 24-70mm Nikkor is obviously so much better than other lenses. When I ran comparisons against cheaper and older lenses, I fully intended to see the old stuff be about the same. Nope, the 24-70mm outdoes them all.
